With loads over 150 kg, transport on stairs with a step-by-step system can, in our opinion, be inconvenient as well as dangerous. This is why we do not recommend it.

The reason lies completely in the fact that, with all stair climbing trolleys, it is the operator's task to keep the load balanced when going to the next step. In our opinion, locking systems on the wheels and similar are only attempts to reduce a dangerous passage, but they do not solve it completely. With certain weights you must protect your back; it is therefore impossible to keep the load balanced.

The point is that as the transported weight increases, the effort employed by the operator also increases in direct proportion, because there is a certain interaction between the operator and the stair climbing trolley itself.

It is therefore necessary to limit this interaction as much as possible to ensure the highest level of comfort and safety.

This is only possible with the Skipper tracked model.

SKIPPER is a latest generation electric stair climbing trolley suitable for relatively heavy transport and is fitted with a remote control that allows the operator in some circumstances to control it without interacting with the transported load.

With Skipper the gradient of the stairs is no longer a problem, because you can change the tilt at which you want the load to travel at any time.

You can also cross any type of flooring thanks to the special patented mix of the rubber coated tracks.

Even the height of the steps is irrelevant as Skipper always works on their ridges with 6 support points during the stair travel stage.

Base with anti-tip system: The base with anti-tip system is particularly suited to the transport of heavy bulky loads. Base with anti-tip and lift system: The base with anti-tip and lift system is particularly suited to the transport of heavy bulky loads on very tight stairs. This system helps the operator both to tilt the load on the stairs at the beginning of the ramp and to facilitate the manoeuvre on the last step preventing the load from being tipped. Its special characteristic, however, is to be able to lift the whole load 42 cm, thus managing to overcome the first and sometimes the second step of the next ramp to actually increase the dimensions of the landing and also turn in very tight spaces.

Aluminium ramp: The aluminium ramp is a handy solution for those that want to load and unload any type of good directly from the van. It should be remembered that Skipper, from nothing, is capable of going up and down from the van even without a ramp. Just lean the tracks on the body and hold down the up/down button. In fact the vehicle's body is only seen as a higher than average step.
